unplugged

Bloged in Phoenix, Travelling by kat Friday October 5, 2007

Sean and I decided it was time again to unplug from the world for a couple of days. We’re heading to the Chiricahua Mountains (East of Tucson) for a weekend of camping and hiking and just relaxing without electronics around us. I’m bringing my cellphone in case of emergency, but it will be turned off for the weekend. My work pager is even being left at home. My boss and my customer both know that I will be unreachable for two days. No laptops, radios, TVs, etc. Hopefully, Sean and I will come back a little more rested and relaxed and ready to get back into the rat race.

For this weekend, I hope everyone has a great weekend and we’ll be back in a few days.

many birthday greetings to a good friend

I am blessed with many friends in my life. Few, though, do I consider particularly good friends. Misty is one of those people. When she and her husband moved to Huntsville we met through a mutual friend. I instantly loved spending time with her. She was my matron of honor at my wedding. It’s her birthday today. I wish I could be there to spend it with her, but a couple thousand miles now divide us. Instead, this will have to suit.

Happy Birthday Misty! I hope that you have had a wonderful day spent with family and friends.
