Well, I really don’t manage anyone in the traditional sense [as I have no direct reports ... the concept of which makes me laugh really hard], but I am managing proposals and (soon) projects, so I am managing people, although not people I have any real sway with. That makes things even more fun … let me tell you.

Yeah, my boss hasn’t seen it fit yet, to give me anyone to manage. Perhaps that’s good. Who knows. In the meantime, I’m using it as time to manage myself better.

Funny … I use my aerospace engineering background to be a better systems person.

Unfortunately, I have nothing in my background to make me a better manager.
