st patty’s day

Sean and I have found the true and proper way to celebrate St. Patty’s Day this year. Spend an evening at an outdoor amphitheater, drinking beer and listening to Flogging Molly and Authority Zero. How the hell our town qualified for such a great band as Flogging Molly for St. Patty’s Day, I’ll never know, but I’m not complaining.

Tomorrow afternoon, I’m going to pick Sean up from work and we’re going to head to Mesa
Amphitheater. The list of bands is Dead Pets, The Briggs, Authority Zero and Flogging Molly. Afterwards, a friend of ours has bought a keg of Guiness and we’re figuring there will be enough left over for us to still enjoy a couple of pints.

Much sleeping in will be enjoyed on Saturday.

A Multitude of Changes

I have been very lax lately in posting anything on here, things have gotten quite busy around here.

I guess the big story right now is that the Focus is offically gone and replaced. And it could not have come a moment too soon in my opinion. It was doing ok as an everyday driver, but have 2 small cars in the family kinda stunk when it came to visitors or hauling things around.

Well ever since I started waching World Rally Championship (rally cars), I knew that my next car was going to be a Suparu Impreza WRX. I have had the chance to drive a couple of them over the years (they came out in 2002), and thought they were great. Well I went test driving at the dealership, and it was great. But I decided to drive one of the new Legacy sedans as well. The WRX just didn’t have much in terms of rear seat room, and heck, that was one of the reasons we were getting a new car.

Well long story short Kat and I decided to get the Legacy, it feels much more grown up than the WRX, and we are both really pleased with the car.

We got a 2006 Legacy GT Limited

5 speed manual transmission

4 Cylinder boxer engine, turbocharged and intercooled.

250 HP 250 FT/LB Torque.

0-60 in approx 5.5 seconds

In other words, FAST!

Here are a couple of pictures.
