back home
Posted in Friends, Travelling on 01/01/2005 09:38 pm by katWe flew back home today. For the Christmas holidays, Sean and I headed back to the east coast to spend our holiday time with friends and family. My brother and his girlfriend/wife (it’s a long story) flew down from Boston for Christmas as well, so this was the first time in about 5 years that my whole family has been together for Christmas, so it was a pretty big deal to all of us. Pictures were taken, etc, for posterity/bribery sake later down the line.
We also spent time in Atlanta with Sean’s family, since we hadn’t seen them since this summer. While in Atlanta, we got a chance to visit friends, such as Erin and her boyfriend, and Brian and Suzan. Sean finally got a chance to see the Geek Farm. Drinking commenced on our visit to the Geek Farm, which resulted in sleeping at the Geek Farm that night instead of heading back to his parents’ house.
After heading back to Huntsville from Atlanta, several days of speed catching up commenced so that we could visit as many friends as possible. Thursday night was spent drinking and laughing and catching up with some of my really good friends and classmates from ASMS. Friday night was spent drinking and laughing and catching up with some of our really good friends that still live in Huntsville. Much merriment commenced.
All too soon, though, it was Saturday and Sean and I had a flight to take to get back home. It was sad because there just wasn’t enough time to spend with all of our friends and family. It’s nice, though, to once more be curled up on our comfy couches in our home with our cats pestering us about being gone for so long.
To everyone, we wish you a happy new year and that 2005 is a prosperous, joy-filled year for you and your loved ones.
