A Bit Here and There

Upgrades, upgrades, who wants an upgrade?

My computer evidently, for it will not play City of Heroes My interest in this game is that Stephen G back in Huntsville is currently involved with a group of people playing this game.

My thought is if I want more contact with folks back east, well this is a good way of doing it.

Of course it could not be as easy as that, especially after I looked at the requirements on the side of the box. Hmmm, minimum requirements are 800mhz pIII, well I have a 600mhz, i wonder if that will work. tragically, the answer is no. So i yanked the guts out of one computer, and hit up Fry’s Electronics for the rest.

After comparing prices online, and seeing that I would save about 20 bucks, I went for the instant gratification of buying everything I needed. Luckily we had recently purchased a motherboard and nice graphics card off of one of Kat’s co-workers, so I picked up a new power supply, processor, memory, and thermal paste.

I spent a large portion of yesterday putting a new computer together, but as of this moment I am happily typing away in front of my computer, my new speedy computer.

So it seems that a 2.4Ghz PIV will play the game, and Stephen, look out cause I am powerleveling to catch up to you guys.

Oh and if anyone out there is playing, my first character is on the Pinnacle server, and named SoldierX18 (hey, I am feeling sick, I am sure that the next character I make will have more imagination).
