potent cows
Posted in General on 08/11/2004 09:57 am by katLife has been ambling on, lately, at a steady pace. Sean and I are continuing to unpack boxes (we are forever going to be unpacking boxes, it seems). Bits and pieces of the house are getting put together. I continue to wake up every morning at the obscene time of 4:30am MST. Part of my morning waking up ritual is to open the door and determine which direction the wind is blowing that morning. If it’s blowing from the east, then I get the delightful scent of baked goods being made in the Basha’s bakery. If it’s blowing from the west, then I get the not so delightful scent of cows. Yes, cows. You see, the land we now live on used to be pasture fields for cows. The land around us, although sold to developers, still has cows on it. So, every morning it’s a gamble as to whether or not I’ll enjoy my morning walk. This morning, I woke up and opened the door as usual. I believe the words I uttered to myself as I walked out the door were, “My, the cows are rather potent today.” Phew. What a way to wake up in the morning.

It’s your own little slice of rural Alabama, right there in Phoenix!

It’s just like living in Huntsville!
Our rockets are bigger than your rockets, though.

Size doesn’t matter. Didn’t anyone tell you that? It’s how you use the rockets.

Bullshit. Size does too matter. A Redstone didn’t have enough thrust to get us to the moon.
