the happiest girl I ever knew

Bloged in General by kat Tuesday January 6, 2004

As Sean and I sat waiting for our table at Doc Chey’s this weekend in Atlanta, Sean pointed out a piece of news that was pure bliss to my ears. I now have to share it with the world, it makes me so happy. IKEA is finally opening a store in Atlanta!

I’m going to be one of those people who’s camped out in front of the store a week or two before it opens just so that I can be one of the first to get in.

    Cool. :)
The last rumor I heard was that Ikea wanted to build the store, but Atlanta didn’t want it (something about too much traffic). I’m glad that’s worked out.

Side note: there’s a stray double quote at the end of the URL in the link (it may show up as "%22" in the browser URL bar). Pull it out, and the link will work.

I think I made Mom’s day. Of course, we just got home from Ikea. They’re taking a trunkload home…

Do they have any idea as to the exact location?

Add IKEA to the list of dangerous stores in Atlanta

Yep. It’s going to be at Atlantic Station, which is that new shopping area across from Midtown on 75-85.
