fall decorating

To make myself useful in class today, I changed the color scheme on my website. It’s a simple way for me to celebrate the arrival of autumn. The house will start to be decorated, too, and soon enough, it’ll be time to decorate for winter.

Tonight, Sean, Jeremy and I assembled over at Amy’s for a riotous game of Seafarers of Catan. Yes, my wonderful sweetie bought me the expansion pack for our anniversary. So, the new expansion got broken out and tried tonight. It was quite amusing. There’s a bit more flexibility in the layout than there was with just Settlers. Soon, we will have all playing the evil game. *evil cackle* In the meantime, I’m going to go get my beautyrest. One more day and the week’s over. woohoo!

I might suggest rgb(102,153,102); or rgb(204,204,102); for the background of the text area. Of course, that’s going to make you change your text color.

how does that look? It’s 164,26,11. I’m not completely sold on it, but it’s getting better than a solid color.

I like the fall color scheme. On the left, below the greymatter button though, it turns back to grey for the rest of the screen.

hrm… how odd. There is no gray background colors indicated anywhere anymore… I’ll look into it further and see what might be up.

It’s orange now. that is odd. i had to press "reload though before it showed up orange. Maybe some weird cache-ing thing?

I love how no one has picked up on and run with the "make myself useful in class" comment. So this is how you spend your time in class. Have you not learned of snood? This is the ultimate for in-class amusement/professor ignoring while preventing any of that keyboard chatter. It works really well if you play using the nub in the middle of your keyboard as well.

Snood got me through both Operating Systems and Computer Architecture. And they also make it for Palm :)

I’m sure you could come up with something in Photoshop, Kat.

I’m working on a mental thought to make the fade from one color to another work in CSS … might make a breakthrough this weekend. I can test it on IJSM. :D

Rick: Hrm, that might have to be installed on my laptop, as that would provide amusement for myself and the guy who sits behind me. It’s the only thing right now that’s getting me through Computer Networks.
