new and improved
Posted in General on 09/03/2002 04:39 pm by katI’m finally moved into my new office downstairs from where my old office was. It’s new and it’s definitely improved. My office is a good bit bigger down here than it was upstairs. Hell, if I really wanted to, I could put a sofa in here considering everyone at the office has joked about my office being the Lounge (cue cheesy 70s music).
Today hasn’t been too much of a brain stretch. My whole day at the office has consisted of moving stuff from my old office to the new office and helping Kate and Beth do the same since they’re both pregnant, thus not allowed to move heavy objects. When I haven’t been at the office, I’ve been back in classes. I didn’t miss them one bit while I was at DragonCon. Thankfully, it also doesn’t seem like I missed that much in the classes, so I won’t be spending the rest of the semester scrambling to catch up like last year. Crutcher and I were both happily observing the fact that next year we will both be graduated by DragonCon and thus don’t have to worry about getting back for classes and such. Yeah! Go us!
My body is sore. It’s to the point, though, that I’ve been sore long enough that my body has learned to kind of tune it out. For now, I’m going to just sit in my chair for a little bit longer before heading to my Senior Design class and enjoy just calmly sitting somewhere. I miss Con already, though. I miss scrambling with Suzan to get the right equipment to the right rooms at the right time. I miss the lull times, otherwise known as the “hurry up and wait” times when Suzan and I could just quietly sit in Harris or laugh and joke with whomever was taking a break down there at the time. It was a good con. I always look forward to going to DragonCon. I look forward to next year’s Con.
For now, though, it’s time to relax and chill and chuckle to myself about all the things that happened this weekend for just a few more minutes before continuing with my life without my Borg headset.
