brain leaks

I’m hunting down a mem leak in Fortran. Need I tell you how tedious a task this is? Especially when the software takens between 7-9 minutes to compile and everytime I put a new set of print statements in to hunt the problem down, I have to compile. Nrrrrgggghhhh….

Kate’s taking maternity leave in 7 weeks as of today. In that time, they will hopefully hire and train another Radar Analysis person. If not, it’s looking like it’s going to be up to me to take her place while she’s out. It doesn’t mean that I get to shirk other duties like being the mem leak hunter that I have become. It’s just going to be something else on my plate. To be honest, I enjoy working on the analysis end of things. It’s something different and it keeps me busy. These next 7 weeks are going to be interesting at work. I get to train more on the analysis stuff and I get to remember how to juggle a full load at school and a full load at work. I liked only having two classes this summer. It was easy to juggle everything. That’s only 3 balls to juggle and one of those balls goes away at 5pm. This fall, I’ll have 6 balls to juggle, 5 of which are classes. nrrrggghhh… I’m babbling. I should see if stuff has finished compiling and go back to hunting this memory leak. More like it’s my brain leaking.

The Hunt Begins

Yep, I will be leaving STG by the end of the month. This is due to a combination of a stagnant market and personal reasons. But, as friends of Me, I give you an opportunity to help a brutha out. If you know of a position available and want to farm out my resume, I would certainly appreciate it. My background is mostly in sales, but I would prefer to move towards something more technical. Now, although I did attend 4 years of college, I did not complete a degree (darn fundage), so it is a limiting factor. Anywho, I have uploaded my Resume in html, pdf, and txt format. Thanks for any help you may be able to give. And yes, I am already playing with the online job search engines.
