two things to note
Posted in General on 08/07/2002 08:53 am by katTwo things to note about yesterday. First, I got to go to Best Buy yesterday and return my second Sprint phone. It’s been doing weird things lately, like dropping signal in areas that Sean has no problem picking up signal in (and, yes, we have the same service provider). The battery has also been dying on me way sooner than it should. So, it got packed up and given back to Best Buy and I got a new phone out of the deal. Literally, this is the latest model of the type of phone that I had originally bought at Best Buy. You know, having my phone break like this has had some benefits. Every few months when my phone breaks, I take it back to Best Buy and since they never have the same model as what I am returning, I get an upgrade to the next model. I am now the proud owner of this phone. It’s got so many extra features and gadgets and stuff that it’s ridiculous. Truly, it is. Instead of having the screen always visible, I have a small screen on my phone that when closed, it shows me the date and time, my battery life and my signal strength. It also comes up with a lighthouse whenever it’s trying to find signal. When I open up the little thing, I get a screensaver. Yes, I’m not kidding. I have a screensaver, much like Sean’s on his stereo and I get to choose between a panda walking, a dog sleeping, race cars and an idle clock. I, of course, chose the race cars.
The back light for the screen and the keys is a very bright blue. The light’s much nicer than on my old phone. The only problem with this phone is that I spent this morning putting all of my numbers back into the phone. *sigh* Oh well. Hopefully, this one will last through the rest of my year’s contract and I can, yet again, move onto another provider. We’ll see. At least this phone has games for me to play on it.
Second thing to note: If summer in the south could be as beautiful and calm as last night and this morning was, I would be willing to happily live in the south. Sean and I are starting to walk around our neighborhood every night. It’s really nice and it gives us a chance to at least get out and walk a bit every day. Last night, there was a cool breathe blowing and the temperature was cool. The humidity was balanced just right. Perfect. I could have happily sat outside for the rest of the night. This morning as I hit the garage door opener to get to my car, I braced myself for the usual balminess outside. Instead, I was met with a brilliant sun and a cool breeze on my skin. If only summer could always be like this! This is truly a wonderful day so far. I can only hope that my day continues as wonderfully as it started.
