Casa De Morrill

This week started out on an excellent note (that is, if you figure the week starts on Sunday, which I think is much better than it starting on the horror known as Monday). Rick has been playing with an amateur soccer league here in town and he invited me to come out and play with them. It’s been a while. Four years since I’ve actually played soccer and three since I’ve reffed a game. It felt so good, though, going out on the field yesterday and running around. My skills seriously need some practice, but that was what I expected. If I practice, it will come back and I’ll get better again. I’m already looking forward to next Sunday.

The rest of this week’s going to be a bit hectic. I have my last programming assignment to do in my CS class. After that’s done, I’ll just have to worry about our final exam and then I’ll be through with that class. In between working on that, Sean and I’ve got to get our apartment back into boxes and moved over to our new house. Sean closes the deal on Friday and Friday night he and I are going to move my bed over to the new house so that we have somewhere to sleep while his water bed drains that night. This is going to be so nice. We’ll have a garage and a computer room and I’ll have a nice sunny room to set up spinning and sewing (as soon as I can afford a machine). We can paint and redecorate to our hearts desire with no worries about a landlord not liking it.

Saturday will be the great day of moving. Sean and I can handle most of the stuff by ourselves, but there is some furniture (Bertha the sofa and the TVs and such) that we’ll need to get help on. We shouldn’t have an issue this time, though, about getting everything moved in one day. At least we’ll get the major stuff moved. After that, we’ll have until the 31st to get the rest of the apartment moved in the evenings. And just for everyone’s information, yes, I swear this is the last time we’re moving until we move out of Huntsville. Really! I swear!

Looks like the date is drawing near, in fact, much closer than I originally anticipated. In order for Kat and I to move using a weekend we need to closee this friday, our current landlord would only let us stay until the 2nd. So I am calling all Huntsvegas geeks that want to help out this weekend. Hopefully we can get a few people to help out. The big things will be the sofas (only downstairs this time) the washing machine, and the big tv. Pretty much everything else can be dissassembled into nice little chunks.

My goal is to finish moving before Geof does ;-P I can provide foodage for everyone, i just need to know who will be here ahead of time. Thanks everyone.
