I’m a true modern day programmer. I like documentation. It got pounded into my head so much in school that now that I’m at work and having to look at other people’s code constantly, I want nothing more than decent documentation. Do I get any? No, of course not.

My task: Standardize a set of programs that make the analysts’ lives easier. Then, create a program to pipe them together.

Standardizing would be a lot easier if I knew more about these programs, but because of the lack of documentation, I don’t know how things work. *sigh* The program part is going to be easy once everything’s laid out with some simple standards. Even the gui isn’t going to be that difficult. Oh, and I also still need to figure out what the best language would be to write all of this out in. The debate is between awk and perl. Decisions, decisions. This is going to be a very grueling next few weeks.
