yawn, stretch *ping!*

I got Sean to wake me up at 6am this morning when he left. He’s going to be gone the next few days down in Anniston. He’s got to train some people on equipment that just got installed. So, I wanted to say goodbye to him before he went off. Instead of sleeping the extra half hour, I decided to go ahead and wake up and just get an early start on the day. I went down to the Atlanta Bread Company and had my usual muffin with a cup of coffee. I ate it there, as I was in no hurry to get to my windowless office at work. It was pleasant sipping my coffee and reading the latest National Geo. I’m finally almost caught up on magazines that I get. The National Geos are my favorite, though. A year’s subscription to it is definitely one of my more favorite Christmas gifts. I just need to find a place for them now. On today’s agenda:

- decorated Sally’s office (it’s her birthday)
- doctor’s appt to check up on my weight loss and blood pressure
- skip class to take Sally out to lunch with coworkers
- presentation on some improvements I’ve been making to programs I developed a few months ago (well, not really, but I’ll explain about that later today)
- rollerblade after work
- quick trip out to Isom’s to check on the peaches and other various fruits/veggies
- work on composition for music theory (due tomorrow)
- start reading through Learning Perl book seeing as I have a program due in 2 weeks to be written in Perl
- clean my bedroom and prepare it for guests this weekend (my goal is to clean a room a day up to Friday so that we’re prepared for having Crutcher and whoever else stays with us)

(Update: So, it’s Sally’s birthday today. We decorated her office this morning to make her unassuming, then took her out to lunch. On our way back, though, we picked up the cake I had ordered earlier to celebrate her birthday and when she thought she was coming in for a meeting to talk about one of my projects, the green team surprised her with a cake. I’ll have to post pictures of it later. We got one of the photo cakes with a picture of our team’s logo on it. It’s very cool. She was very thrilled. Oh, and we also made her wear a pin all day that says “Birthday Girl” on it. :) We’re so evil.)
