one week gone

Sally found out today that I have my clearance. This means of course that I can go to a training session being held next week. I have class during the day, but this training session is only held once a year, so it’s worth missing a few days worth of class to go to. Sally called a couple people and sure enough I just need to make sure they have my clearance by the end of this week and I’m in. I’ll work the missing class thing out with my teacher this week. I have to agree with Sally that going to this tutorial will answer a lot of questions I’ve had recently and it will help me be more productive around here, so I’m actually kind of looking forward to going to these sessions. It does mean, though, that I’m going to be consuming massive quantities of coffee in the morning to make it through morning sessions. (I don’t stay awake easily in morning meetings without coffee.)

  1. And now it happens … Kat can no longer speak to us. :

  2. You’re going to the beginner and advanced class 18-20? If so, I’ll be there. :)

  3. Yep. That would be the one. I guess we’ll be spending a bit of time together next week, then. :)

  4. Rock on. A bunch of Boeing people up here are going, and a coworker in my office is also going.

  5. Cool. Apparently, we’ll be having several people from this office going, but I’m not entirely sure who yet.

  6. DEATH TO BOEING!

Sorry. Just death to Boeing/Huntington Beach today. :)

  7. Hey, we actually work with that office. What’s wrong with them?

  8. I don’t think I can express it in words that are fit for public consumption. :)

  9. Now, now… Remember, you might not like ‘em, but you do have to work with them.

  10. That’s why our speakerphones have a mute button.

  11. And hey, it’s not like Boeing/Houston or Boeing/Huntsville have much respect for them either.
