friday morning babblings

I didn’t really want to get up this morning. Fridays I have two choices. Since I only have to work 6 hours a day (sorry guys, but I am only working part time), I can choose to either go in at 8am and leave at 3pm or I can choose to go in late at 9am and leave at 4pm. Either way, I’m still leaving early, it just depends on how early I’m willing to go in that determines how early I get to leave. Since Sean and I are heading to Atlanta tonight, I opted for going in at 8. This way, I get out an hour earlier than Sean (he’s skipping lunch to get out early) and I can do trip prep stuff around the house, including packing. I was too tired to pack last night, especially since Margaret didn’t leave until around midnight and by then I was exhausted. So, plans for the day.

- Eat lunch with dad (he requested a lunch with his princess this week, how could I refuse? ’sides, it’s sushi)
- Leave work a little after 3pm and go home
- Change laundry out for Sean and start packing my own bag (I have to remember that we’re going camping, so packing will be a bit different than usual)
- Clean litter box
- Fill kitty dishes with enough food to last a few days
- Feed Snacky, my beta fish
- Water plants (that’s a bigger task than you think with all the plants we now have inside and outside)

I think that covers it. When Sean gets home we’re going to go rollerblade on the greenway for a bit and then head back. He’ll pack quickly and then it’ll be time to head over to Atlanta. That’s one of the nice things. We’re never in a hurry on Fridays to get to Atlanta. We know the backroads so well that it’s a breeze to drive them, even late at night. Hell, I’ve driven through them with no problem in pea-soup fog. Ahhh, the weekend shall soon be here and I can relax for a few days. Oh, and I get to play with my laptop some, too. Extra bonus.

  1. You don’t need anyone to play with the cats, do you?

  2. Neh, they play with themselves pretty well. If you want to take care of them over the weekend that’s fine, we just didn’t want to inconvenience anyone when we’ll only be gone for a few days.
