Just a quick post whilst my sickened brain is coherent. I just wanted to make a random list of the weird crap Kat and I saw on our way home from Atlanta.
1) Chipmunk (almost squashed him with my car)
2) Numerous dead possums
3) Blue Heron
4) Turtle sunning himself on the white line
5) Snakes, luckily they were all in aquariums at the visitor’s center at Amicolola Falls
6) Grey cat that instead of running in front of my car, decided to lay down in the other lane
7) Beaver (Geof- here is where you can make your joke)

A house a house, a kingdom for a house! Wait, no, that’s not quite right. Anyway, whilst Sean and I were sickies yesterday, we still kept an appointment to go see a possible rental house for us, since we’ve decided to move out of the condo we’re currently living in. I was glad that we kept the appointment. It’s not a perfect house, but Sean and I really liked it.
The house is a 2 bedroom/2 bath. It’s got a little computer room, dining area, living room and a larger kitchen than what we have currently. It’s even got a front yard and back yard. We can finally kick the cats back outside where they keep wanting to be. Sean and I can start to play in our own garden and things don’t have to be kept in containers anymore. The best part about the house, though, is that it’s in the neighborhood that’s on one end of the greenway Sean and I like to rollerblade and bike on. Now, instead of the greenway being a short drive away, it’s a short walk away. This means, Sean and I are much more likely to finally get all of that excercise he and I keep talking about. We’ll also have a little porch that we can grill on and eat outside on. The house, blissfully sits north to south, so we don’t have to worry about getting glares through any of the windows. But, we’ll also get a lot of sun, so we’ll have fun gardening.
The only two downsides is that this means we have to acquire a refrigerator, which isn’t too bad. Now, we can get more of what we want and it’s one less thing we have to deal with when we finally buy a house. We also need to acquire a lawnmower. We might have to borrow people’s lawnmowers until we can afford to get one of our own. We shall see. I don’t care. It means we finally get rid of upstairs and downstairs neighbors. No more condo/apartment living. We’ll finally have a house.
