Friday Five

1. What is your favorite restaurant and why? Depends on where I am. My favorite restaurant ever is Martini’s in New York City. Really awesome food and it’s got one of the best lists of martinis that I’ve ever seen. My favorite restaurant in town is Wildflour Bistro. Its menu is always a little different, the ambience is formal, but pleasant. The people there are very friendly and I know one of the waiters there. The food is really good there, too, and they have a bottle of wine that I’ve only ever seen served there.

2. What fast food restaurant are you partial to? Hrm… I would most likely have to say Quizno’s, unless I’m allowed to count Atlanta Bread Company. Quizno’s has really good hot subs that are different and they don’t have too much bread with their sandwiches. ABC because they always have fresh bread and good meats and veggies for their sandwiches.

3. What are your standards and rules for tipping? If the service was average, I’ll tip the usual 15%. Bad for me includes having an empty drink glass for more than a couple minutes. My drink glass should always have something in it. If it’s bad service, depending on how bad, I’ll tip as low as about 5%. I’ve never not left a tip of some sort. If it’s really good service, then I tip between 15-30%.

4. Do you usually order an appetizer and/or dessert? Not really, no. If we’re in a big group then I’ll usually get an appetizer becuase it takes forever to get the food to the table with a big group. If we’re at Rosie’s then I always get some of their white queso dip. Yum! Desserts are rare, because I’m usually full after dinner.

5. What do you usually order to drink at a restaurant? Sweet Tea, Sprite or Water. If I’m at a fast food restaurant it’s a toss up between Sprite and Coke. If I don’t have to do homework that night (yeah, right, like that ever happens), I’ll get an alcoholic drink, but I’m not really particular about what it is. If it’s at Rosie’s, I always get either a Top Shelf Margarita or a Mambo Taxi.
