Casa De Morrill

I’m feeling very slow this morning. This past weekend I got a good bit accomplished. I wrote my 9 page long history term paper (or at least the first rough draft, but that’s the hard part). I spent all Saturday working on that. Thankfully, Sean brought his laptop home with him, so I was able to work outside on our porch since the weather was so wonderful. Sunday, I finally caved in and went autocrossing, even though I knew I had a lot of stuff to do. I had a blast. The course was a bitch, but I’m really beginning to learn how to maneuver my car without it being jerked all over the place. I wound up placing 2nd in the lady’s division, which is cool.

Sunday night when we got home, I realized that I had a nice red face from my skin being fried. Slathered aloe on it and vegged for a little while. October Sky was on NBC last night, so Sean and I caught the last half of that movie. It’s a really good movie, but as Sean pointed out as a really mind-twister, Hickham and his father are played by the same people that played the weed-smoking neighbour and his father in American Beauty. Go think about that for a minute. The rest of the evening, I spent trying to figure out the new processor that we’ve been given to work with in CPE421. The part that gets me is that he’s shown us no sample code, so we don’t know what the code for this lab should look like. Argh.

Alliss and I are going to work on it tonight, as well as the homework we have due in that class. Thankfully, I’m staying ahead of my projects right now, but we’ll see how my sanity holds out in the long run. I’m hoping for the better, as I don’t want to spend my couple of vacation weeks recuperating from classes. I’m looking forward to going out and enjoying some sun and such.
