*bangs head against monitor* Forecast for today is that Kat will be running into problems with code that is supposed to work by all sensible logic. The high for today will be if it really works. Lows will be around the inability to do anything useful with the code for the day. For tomorrow, possibilities of a better coding day are good.
On a good note, we’re going through changing companies that provides the coffee, tea, etc for the office. We got the new coffee brewer today. Very nice. It actually lets me pour hot water in a steady stream rather than the spray that the other brewer produced. mm…. non-caffeinated tea good….

Thank you Geof for inspiring me to the title above. Well for those of you who have not talked to me in person in awhile you should know that I have now qwuit my job at CompUSA (no link here, why should? :-P) and weill now start on my schedule of hockey skating. Last night I went down to the Ice Plex where both of Geof’s roomies work, Todd and Blake. Of course, it is the only place in town to go skating, so that narrows things down a bit. I am starting out with a intro to skating for adults class. This is good, and I like the format, they are dividing the hockey players from those figure skating people. The hour goes by really quickly just so you know…..
Lessons learned:
1) I can go fast, it is stopping that is the problem.
2) Having a background in inline speed skating really helps, just not for the stopping part.
3) When trying to stop, do not grab the wall, you can twist your shoulder.
4) Wear more than a t-shirt to lessons.
5) Hockey stops are really hard to learn.
6) You have to take much quicker steps when playing hockey
7) taking quicker steps makes you go faster, but also makes it harder to stop.
Do you think I have an area to work on? Oh, I also am a bit pissed. Kat and friends (you know who you are) collected money for skates for my birthday. We ordered some CCM 652s, I got them and took them into the shop to get sharpened. Well it turns out that the boot is about a 7 year old design, with a new blade holder on the bottom. So basically we are going to be contacting the company that sold us the skates and will be returning them soon. I hate it when people try to rip you off……
It still looks like this will be fun, and maybe next time i can get Geof to come out with me.

Never again am I missing three dance classes in a row. Last night, I was reminded of the fact that I hadn’t had a really good stretch in several weeks and that my body was no longer used to doing splits, etc. Calves… pain….
