Friday Five Takes a Vacation

1. What’s your favorite vacation spot?
I really don’t think I have a favorite place that I go back to year after year. My family used to take vacations to Copper Mountain to go skiing and that used to be my favorite vacation spot, growing up. Now, I just enjoy going somewhere, anywhere, just to be on the road again and to see and experience new things.
2. Where do you consider to be the biggest hell-hole on earth?
I can’t call Huntsvegas a hell-hole, although I’m dying to get out of this town. I think I’ve just travelled through a lot of really tiny towns on roadtrips before that I would consider hell-holes. The one place you will never catch me staying in, though, is Hattiesburg, MS. Something bad happens everytime I stop in that town.
3. What would be your dream vacation?
I love trips/vacations, so anything makes me happy. The one thing that I’ve always wanted to do, though, is go on a cruise. Not one of those 3 day cruises in the Caribbean. One of the longer ones, like 2 weeks where you travel over a large area. I would love to take a cruise in the Mediterranean, trans-Atlantic, or maybe like an Alaskan cruise. That would be my dream vacation right now. Next in line would be hiking the Appalachian Trail. I know it’s weird, it’s just one of those things that I would like to do one of these days.
4. If you could go on a road-trip with anyone, who would it be and why?
Man, that’s rough. There are a lot of people that I’d love to go road-tripping with. I enjoy travelling with Sean a lot, but he’s a given, since I’m engaged to him. Besides Sean, I think I would really enjoy going road-tripping with either Amy or Geof, since they have my appreciation of being on the road. *starts to plot an evil road-trip*
5. What are your plans for this weekend?
This weekend is going to be yet another trip to Atlanta, for the DragonCon staff meeting. I’ll need to get some homework, etc, done while I’m there, but this weekend I can relax a little more. Not quite as much is due as soon as I get home. It’ll be great seeing the whole techops staff again.
